Mr. Stark,

I have just been informed that my father is coming to pick me up on Monday evening, 11/21/11 so that I can begin cooking Thanksgiving dinner Tuesday morning 11/22/11 for our extended family, with my mother. This means I will miss a day and a half to two days of classes, depending on whether or not we're let out early on Wednesday.

I'm going to send a notice to the rest of the Freshmen class, as well as my instructors, asking for help with notes, etc.

Also, when I return, I'd like to speak to you concerning my placement in some of my classes, particularly mathematics.

Miss Potts,

With your grades and the lightened amount of course work I give on a holiday week like this, you have no need to worry about falling behind. If you happen to have trouble procuring notes from your peers let me know and we will work something out so that you do not miss anything. But beyond that, may you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family.
