Alright, so his boss was a lot more mad then he had expected. Or even from what he had heard from his desk. It wasn't as though he took forever to walk over. In fact, the moment that he heard his name from Jameson's mouth himself, he was already on his way over, which was long before the door to the office had opened up.
Eddie walked in, listening to everything that Jameson had to say. Since he had been in the office most of the weekend and never really took detours or watched the news before he made it to the Daily Bugle, he knew nothing of the real story. It was all new news to him. As each of the papers were tossed in his direction, there wasn't a change in his expression. He knew that if he showed or gave off any negativity, his boss would eat that right up and tear a hole right into him. Instead, Eddie reached for the nearest paper, especially since it didn't matter which one at that moment. They were all being tossed in his direction.
Quickly reading the headline, Eddie's heart dropped. Fuck. How did Spider-Man manage to do that? It was an event that happened out of the blue. And how the hell did they just believe with one simple act that the freak was filled with innocence? It didn't make any sense that everyone kissing a spider's ass in every direction. He didn't have time to read the article, but assumed that none of Quentin's equipment was left on the scene. And even if they did have the brains to connect to the school to Eddie, that wouldn't be fair to just blame him. After all, Peter worked at the Bugle as well. Either way, he was going to deny and deny and deny any allegation that he tossed in his direction.
"Sir, I don't know what to tell you," he began as he put the paper down on Jameson's desk once again. As the conversation continued, Eddie attempted to defend himself in a calm manner. When it came down to it, he did capture a robbery in action. "I saw what I saw, JJ. Recorded what I saw. Pictures of what I saw. Took down eye witnesses personal words on the manner too."
