The Majesty's Office: Suspended above the main floor of the Mutant Underground Head Quarters, the majesty's office was a beacon for the citizens below. Legends insist that Magneto wished this elevated space to serve as a reminder of his people's inherent superiority, while Professor Xavier ordered the glass walls installed to show the transparency of their new government. Regardless of what the founders actually intended: few people freely traveled to the highly secured section of the underground and the walls were rarely transparent these days - the smart glass capable of masking nearly anything happening inside.
Dominic Byström nodded to Dr. Hank McCoy when they passed in the glass hallway that led to Eva's office. Droid was mildly surprised the good doctor had been with Eva considering the time, government business normally ended earlier on Fridays, but then of course she'd agreed to meet Dom on such late notice. Maybe everyone had unfinished business before the weekend rolled around.
When Droid entered the office, he smiled toward Eva - who was generally always a sight to behold... unless you'd done something wrong. Which he had not... well, nothing that would warrant a visit from Zap. "Sorry to bother..." Dom started, only to notice a specter who also inhabited the office. The grim-faced ghoul of a Russian sat off to the side, butt on one chair and feet propped up on another. The cyberpath didn't interact much with the eldest Rasputin, he mostly relied on Pete's word to justify not hating Cosmo. Though, that didn't mean the older man didn't give him the willies.
Anyway, "Sorry to bother you, Eva," he continued and assumed it was alright to speak in front of Mikhail, since it seemed the Russian had been here for a minute. "You'd asked me about the additional money I'd requested for repairs..." Dom made eye contact with Zap while his hand gestured toward the wall and called up a holographic map of the Underground's North American telecommunication infrastructure. "So I looked into it. I thought you'd would to see it for yourself."
Mikhail sipped his whiskey, where he had gotten a glass of whiskey was not important. But he sipped and watched the blond man talk and talk, though admittedly - so far he'd been Zap's most entertaining meeting in the last few hours. Had Mikhail been present for nearly all of Zap's meetings this afternoon? Yes. Why? Because Eva valued his opinion and that should have been a good enough answer for anyone.
Cosmo's head cocked to the side to get a better view of Droid's map and the Russian keyed into what the cyperpath was getting at. Even with the alcohol in his system. "I take it... these are not normal repairs?" Ice clanked when Mikhail gestured with his whiskey hand.
"No," Dom answered, somewhat reluctantly. Piotr's word or not, Droid overheard enough comm traffic to assume he knew some tales of Cosmo's exploits. The Russian reminded Dom of an iceberg of a man... only ten percent of him was ever visible at once. "Eva." Droid readjusted his focus on his fearless leader, who seemed as engaged as always but still drained from a long day. Her commitment though was something Dom always admired. "These are attacks on our system. Someone or some group is attempting to disrupt our network." There was intelligence behind it.
"Mmmhmmm." Mikhail didn't speak, not really. He just made a sound that hopefully reminded Eva of what they'd been discussing earlier. But rather than tip his hand to Dom, or interrupt Eva's meeting anymore the Russian merely shut his mouth and placed his cool glass on his forehead.
