[1] I honestly don’t think that should be sacrificed either but ok at least we seem to be back on the same page [2] Joaco told me that his soul had been used in some kind of protective magic [3] He didn’t seem to die but still his soul was being used as part of that magic [4] But Alejo thinks he undid that soul [5] Which is why Joaco was born here on Earth instead of still bound to that magic [6] Gaius and Badr speculated that there might be some form of higher power related to the Catastrophe [7] When Itzal made his wish and sacrificed himself he was probably trapped in that spell [8] My theory is that Gaius was only born because that spell must seal the Catastrophe somehow and so Nero or his people managed to break the seal and Itzal wound up reborn as Gaius [9] The magic is not meant to be broken but it seems to me that it has to have been at least twice [10] If not more often in Elysium prehistory [11] This magic is basically a stopgap and I think that what Kamaria meant by preparing for what was to come was that we were meant to look for a better, more permanent option [12] And based on that I think it’s pointless for Joaco to do that magic again because it can be broken [13] But also if it isn’t then someone ends up with their soul locked into that spell for all eternity [14] It’s an inherently flawed system [15] Like building a wall of flames to protect your house in a place where you know it will rain
