No communicator. Almost everyone she had spoken with so far inside the asylum either always carried their communicator on them, or else already spoke Japanese. At the very least because she did have her communicator she could understand him, even if he had no idea of what she was saying in return.

She shook her head in the negative with a sheepish smile. She'd be a little tender for a while, or until her powers were returned, but it wasn't life threatening. Mostly she felt embarrassed. Reaching out, she took his hand gratefully.]
