[At Hiling's suggestion, she and Ribbons made their way over to Sector 5 to go out for pizza. She wore a knee-length skirt with a matching top in dark blue, something she had picked out on a solo trip to the store. Approaching the building, she looked back at Ribbons.]

I think this is the place.

[If the neon signs were any indication, it was indeed. She could smell the pizza already and it was making her hungry.]

[After spending a good part of the last two days being cooped up indoors musing about things and preparing for class -- save for making trips to the Educational Center for reference materials -- stepping out for dinner had been a good idea.

Ribbons sported beige pants and a white button-up shirt. He was not one for fastfood, but the aroma of cooking tomatoes and cheese practically made his stomach growl.]

A pet? That would be neat...

[She tried to reassure herself that it was nothing to be so anxious about, but it seemed the longer she waited, the worse it became. She began to wring her hands in her lap. Before she could change her mind, she went ahead and blurted it out.]

There's something I should tell you. Yesterday, when I was wandering around the park, I ran into someone. One of them. I know I shouldn't have, but I kinda talked to him for a bit. He didn't recognize me or anything... I'm really sorry. I would have told you sooner, but you seemed busy and I didn't want you to worry and get distracted.

[In any other instance, he would have slapped her like he did Regene or Wang Liumin. But he held himself -- he was going to change, no more of those unnecessary violence. He leaned back on his seat and set his hands on his lap.

He was quiet for quite the long moment, such as that he did not notice that a bot had served their drinks. He was upset, there was no denying it, but she said she was sorry.

And perhaps something good came out of their exchange? So many thoughts and emotions to keep under control that his voice came out eerily calm.]

He may not have recognized you but it was still a significant risk you have taken. And yes, I will be worried, and I am worried.

Who was this fellow you spoke to?

[It felt a bit better to get it all out there. Either way, it needed to be said. Had she not, Ribbons would have found out eventually, and would likely have been even more upset with her.

She was familiar with his temper, and was surprised he hadn't snapped at her. Glancing up, she nodded.]

Lockon Stratos-- though he introduced himself as Lyle.

[Hiling took her glass and dragged it in front of her, staring down into it.]
