[Maybe it's because only his voice can stir her out of her thoughts, but Akane hears him and she blinks, her head shifting so that she can look up to where the voice is coming from. She should be used to seeing him somewhere permanently fixed above her, but Akane is a little surprised that he's there, and wonders how long he's been watching her.
She opens her mouth to say something, but nothing comes out. And then her gaze lowers. Where has he been? Why is he just sitting there when a friend of theirs is dead? They shouldn't be sitting here! They should be doing something. Akane wants to be angry. She needs to take all of her emotions out on someone. Maybe it will make the tears stop. Maybe it will clear her head and allow her to come up with a plan to avenge his death. It's not like she even knows what happened.
