Look, I love Christmas. I really, really do. But that doesn't take away the fact that it's Christmas. It's still a Christian holiday, even without the religious sentiment. For me, the official event today consisting solely of one religion's service was really the last straw in terms of an obvious system of imposed uniformity. I know, I know it's a prison. But that doesn't mean only one culture should be represented. And I was here for Valentine's and...well. I did see an awful lot of one-sided chocolate making.
Wouldn't it--[sigh]--wouldn't it be more interesting to experience something new? For everyone to be exposed to something new and different? I can do what I want but it won't do much if everyone's still following the mandated holiday.
