[Above them, the image continues to move, taking them out of Earth's solar system and out among the stars.] This footage was sent home by George Glenn, the first Coordinator. He left Earth to explore space and hasn't yet returned. [It's customary, back home, not to speak of Glenn as though he were gone for good.] He gave us hope for furthering our colonization into space. The father of the PLANTs, one might say.
[Lacus has refreshed her memory about outer space in creating the show, and so she continues to explain what Lockon is seeing.] This is the Crab Nebula. It's in the constellation Taurus. I always found it amazing, how lovely space dust can be. [The video goes on to show images of the Eagle Nebula and then pans in a bit more, and then even further to show the details.]
They call these the Pillars of Creation. [Her voice is steady, but quiet.] It always made me feel like anything is possible.
