It's not like a lot of people belong here - there really shouldn't be children as young as eight or nine in prison. Don't you think not taking into mind the emotional impact of that is really the more unreasonable thing?
Having emotions like anger aren't really bad in the end - it's doing something with that anger that's the bad thing. It's what you do with it...It's okay to be angry at people, I think, for good reasons, but it doesn't mean they should be killed. Even ...people who do terrible things [like kill one's parents] deserve to live too.
And if everyone was "obsolete" who had emotions...why are there so many people left behind? [She can think of dozens and dozens who aren't here, yet have shown the same kind of emotions she has...] There must be millions or even billions of people back home, all with their own reasons to be happy, sad, mad, and so on. Would there really be enough room for all of them here?
