I believe being in love is very different from truly loving another. However, being in love is a heady and exhilarating feeling. You wish to be close to them at all times, feel a flush on your face when they near leading to greater feelings of desire. However, over time, this sort of love can grow less vibrant as you are with someone for a greater amount of time and become something you must hold close to your heart to keep alive.
Truly loving another, however..that is something of great value. It is as though a string connects you, binding you to the other in an unbreakable way. Even if you are far away from them and cannot see or touch them, your love will remain. It is the deepest level of trust, the greatest loyalty you will know. If you love someone, their happiness, their needs will become far greater than your own to you.
Love is not simple, however. it is complicated and can be painful. However, Whoever you are, I pray that you find both.
