[A pair of mismatched eyes glow in the darkness, peering at the device held in his hand. The corners of his mouth twist into a slight smirk, clearly amused as he utters a cryptic message to someone who might be watching.]
Such a bad decision~. You should think about that next time I speak.
[Suddenly, the video feed is a flurry of movement, the night a blur of shadows and fragmented sounds as the Pureblooded vampire speeds through the dome as if searching. When he does stop, the silhouetted landscape has changed drastically, the sharp angles of brick and concrete instead replaced by muted lamp lights lining a solitary path through a grove of blackened trees.
Gazing out from the darkness, the video focuses on the distant figure of a girl making her way along the path. It lingers, following the sound of her shoes on the pavement, allowing the viewer to anticipate what must be coming next to the unsuspecting victim.
Barely a moment later, he moves. One moment shrouded by shadow, the next directly in front of the startled girl. Rido Kuran tilts his head, casting his prey a 'pleasant' smile.]
Hello~
[To say that the figure in front of Lenalee's way caught her by surprise would be an understatement. She stopped mid-sentence, her words hitched in the back of her throat as the list of grocery items she kept repeating was quickly forgotten. It was just a man... but how did he get near her so fast? Something felt off. Still, she managed her best smile forward and opened her mouth to return his greeting when suddenly his hands were on her, her eyes instantly widening.
At the precise moment that Rido's fingers latched painfully around Lenalee's arms, intent to pull her tightly into his embrace, the video feed flickers and his expression quickly changes. Releasing her, his body tenses and he takes a sudden step back, the previous amusement in his features quickly turns to irritation. Glaring at Lenalee with narrowed eyes, his arm launches out, backhanding the girl before a single beat of her heart had sounded.
It was rare for her to be hit out of the blue when she wasn't dealing with Noah. A yelp escaped her lips and she shut her eyes tight as she stumbled back, not thinking that something so simple could hurt as much as that did.
Just as she was thrown back from the blow, Rido's breath hitched suddenly and his body crackled with a sharp surge of electricity forcing him to drop to his knees in pain. Hands shaking, he struggled to maintain his balance as the smoke wafted off of his hunched over form.
There was an incredulous look adorning her features when she finally looked up. She wanted to scream, to shout and yell and ask what he thought he was doing. But as a first in a long time accompanied by the glint in her eyes that was laced lightly with fear and the fact that her Innocence wouldn't help much at all, she was stunned.]
