[ Ritsuka spent their time apart similarily caught up in his own thoughts. after breaking down in front of Roxas he was given exactly what he needed: time and space to sort through the mess of his relationship with Soubi.
he had come to several conclusions.
the first is that he has a right to be mad at Soubi. he is supposed to be able to trust Soubi - not just as a friend, but as a partner - and Soubi betrayed that trust.
the second is that Ritsuka has find a way to apologize for his behavior. he is not sorry that he knows the truth - not that knowing it makes it hurt any less - but that day he was frustrated and overwhelmed and angry, and he is sure some of the things he said hurt Soubi.
with this conviction Ritsuka came to his final conclusion: he has made up his mind that he will take no further steps to breaking their relationship until he has talked to Soubi first.
these were the conclusions he came to after two fretful nights without much sleep, and since he does not think Soubi will come to him, he makes up his mind on the second morning that he will find Soubi himself.
it takes him all day to locate Soubi, and he has nearly given up for the day when he sees a familiar shape curled up on a park bench. under any other circumstances he would chastise Soubi for his strange habits, drag him home, and make him sleep in a real bed. but with all that has happened, Ritsuka can only stand there for a long moment, his feet rooted to the ground a yard from the bench, his heart pounding in his throat, and his mind blank on how to get Soubi's attention.
finally he speaks in a voice that both trembles with nerves and manages to sound too loud even in the open space of the park. ]
