[the day has been uneventful for Ritsuka; the one constant has been an incessant humming in the back of his mind, needling him all day to find Soubi and confront him. Ritsuka hadn't wanted to push the topic at first - when they figured out they were from different points in time, Soubi had seemed upset, closed off like he was when they first met. with Soubi's attitude as well as the more pressing issue of his discomposure after teaching his first class, Ritsuka had ended up focusing on Soubi's immediate concerns than on something that couldn't - shouldn't - affect their life in the dome.
he was still desperately curious of course, but the moment had never seemed right to revive the topic, and Ritsuka was almost positive Soubi would simply deflect the conversation or outright lie again. he was okay with not knowing as long as Soubi didn't lie.
but today... today it feels right to ask. the decision has been gnawing at him all day, and every excuse he can think of not to confront Soubi seems flimsy in respect to how important this is to Ritsuka's peace of mind. so after playing around in the arcade and shooting down every opposing thought, Ritsuka has worked himself up until he's filled with determination to get the truth.
he arrives back at his room soon after Soubi, in time to see Soubi smoking against one wall of his room. his determination quickly flares into annoyance.]
It's rude to smoke in someone's room without permission.
