not everything is gonna be the way you think it ought to be;
[ she only takes his advice to get him talking, really. in faith's life, when bad things happened, they rarely asked for her permission, or gave her a warning -- and even if they had, sitting down wouldn't have done much to save her skin.
faith's not blindsided, not in the least. people die, especially in their line of work and especially when they're normal grade human people. the fact that everyone that's here except angel and herself were sunnydale-bred had irked her for more reasons than just disliking the place and being distrusted by the people. ]
What happened?
[ it's not for her. she doesn't give a rat's ass about cordelia, anyway. wesley was a different story. wesley and faith's history was one of her ugliest memories and one that she wanted more than anything to try to clean up. now that she wasn't going to be able to do that, she was a little angry. selfish, sure, but what do you want from a messed-up self-obsessed twenty-something?
not entirely selfish. the shrinks in jail might have been idiots about most things, but they got one thing right: talking actually helped. didn't have to be anyone, didn't have to go anywhere. just the talking. and since angel's the first real friend faith's ever had, she thinks she can at least try to give him something. a sounding board? friends do that, she thinks. she can do that. ]
