[Truth be told he hadn't even thought about that yet. It wasn't important to him, not really and when it came down to it he probably cared even less than Helix about what people thought of him. So they were a couple, big deal. He knew what he was and he knew what he liked, and neither of those things were anyone else's business.
Still, announcing it in public like that... was not the way he'd wanted to do it.
The light padding of Helix's feet wasn't loud enough to wake him, but the nervous fidgeting and piercing stare did stir something in him and after another short moment he began to wake up, eyelids fluttering before cracking open. He blinked drowsily a few times in an attempt to work out where he was and why he'd woken up, and when those pieces fell into place the rest soon followed. He sat up quickly, eyes wide and fixed on Helix as he bit back a wince - sleeping on the couch had not been awesome.]
