"Once upon a time in the fair country of Scotland, a young selkie was lying on the shore in her seal form, soaking up the last rays of sun before nightfall. While seals in general enjoy sunbathing and selkies being no exception to that, this particular one loved it more than is usual among her kind. You see, winter was approaching, and our little selkie abhorred cold like nothing else. She dreaded going back into the dark, cold waters so much that, as the sun was setting over the bay, she decided to seek shelter on land rather than in her usual home.
It was her very first time transforming into a human form, and she was quite nervous, but nevertheless she shed her seal skin and hid it among the rocks on the shore before making her way farther up on land."
