[Truth be told, there was a good chance Aidan would always be lost if Helix wasn't by his side in some way. The younger boy had been the one who ultimately dragged him out on the adventure of his life, and as much as Aidan wanted to protect him it usually ended up being the other way around. Helix may not even be aware of it, but without him... things would've been very different and not in a good way.
The soft bump gently pulled his attention towards the other, a soft smile tugging at the corners of his mouth at the confession. Thinking about him, huh? That was a first, as far as he knew, and with the way his heart was swelling in his chest at the words and affectionate physical contact he just had to wonder.
