[It wasn't that strange. They were practically two strangers, different in practically every single way and the only thing they really had in common was how much they needed each other because of those differences. They complimented each other, filled in gaps, made up the whole picture, two halves of a whole.

Aidan flinched as the door to Helix's room slammed shut, eyes squeezed shut for a moment until he relaxed with a sigh. It'd be fine... it was just a touchy subject.
