I've thought about that angle too, but I quickly shot that down. See, where I come from there are way worse people than me that belong in prison. So unless I grow up to be something really bad, there would be no justification for me to be abducted over others.
Still, let's go ahead and run with the idea that I was being abducted for future crimes I have yet to commit. Well, aside from that being incredibly unfair, Sentience could easily use that ability and go back to the moment we committed our crimes and then abduct us then; thus saving the victim and stopping the crime.
... But wait, there is more. If Sentience could do all that, why not go back and stop any crime from ever happening in the first place. What Sentience is doing doesn't make sense, thus my conclusion that there are logic error in its code.
