Ahhh, well Momotaro is a legend about a child who was found in a giant peach floating down a stream. A woman found him and informed her husband. Not having any children of their own, they adopted Momotaro and raised him to be a strong boy. They lived happily together until ogres began invading the lands and terrorizing the people. Momotaro decided to leave his family behind so that he could battle the ogres and return the things they had stolen. His mother cooked him some of his favorite dumplings for his journey and he set out alone. But it wasn't before long that he met a dog, a monkey and a pheasant. They decided to accompany Momotaro on his journey in exchange for some of the dumplings. When they got to the island the ogres came from, there was a locked gate that prevented their entry. The pheasant flew over the gate and managed to steal the key. They entered and, together, defeated the ogres. In exchange for his life, the leader of the ogres, Akandoji, returned all of the items they had stolen from the villagers. And shortly after that, Momotaro returned home.
