Aidan for one didn't really think much at all about the potential implications. They were two friends in a community of strangers and as such it was only natural for them to stay together. Sure, their friendship had taken a pretty intimate nature for a while there and he wouldn't be horribly disgusted if they ever fell back into that but most of all they were friends. They should stick by each other, in any way they could.
Besides, with everything that was going on already, from the conversation with Lind earlier that day to the thing Helix couldn't tell him about... Aidan wanted to stick close by him, if only so he could help the younger boy should it be needed. Loyalty was an important thing and he was certainly not about to take that promise lightly - he'd stick by him, no matter what.
There was a snigger to that look of shock and surprise and to say that Aidan felt pleased with himself would've been an understatement. Getting one up on Helix was in no way easy, getting his way to boot was a darn miracle. Needless to say, victory was very sweet.
"Just givin' ya a taste of your own medicine." he grinned, way too happy with the outcome. "'s only for one night anyway."
