There was definitely some bigger plans of escape lurking in the back of his mind - how could they not, after conversations with shounen heroes? - and as calm and collected as he might seem on the outside Aidan really didn't want to be in prison. He had every intention of finding some way out of here, some way back home and he was definitely taking Helix with him so they could go back to all that adventuring they were supposed to do before things turned to shit.
All that still lay miles into the future and even if the boy could have some pretty unbelievable dreams and ideals at times he wasn't stupid. He hadn't even been in Marina for a full day yet, there was really no great big rush to leave right this instance and so he turned his attention to more immediate problems.
"Well... this." he repeated, emphasizing his statement with a nod that pretty much included everything. "If we're gonna live together - an' I'd kinda like that, actually... well, we need t' figure out how we're dealin' with it. It ain't that simple, bein' room mates."
He'd know, considering how often he'd moved over the last two years. Luckily he'd never had to live on the streets but his address had still changed every so often, jumping from one place to another, renting on short term, squatting, crashing at a friends place... there had been a lot of moving and by now Aidan was pretty much a pro at adjusting to new arrangements. This was why it felt so important to sort out the basics, even though he'd only just arrived. Especially since something as simple as sleeping arrangements had become this Big Thing.
Speaking of.
"This is your place, so you got th' last say. But if we're stayin' together we're gonna need somethin' bigger... or if you wanna stay here I could find my own place in th' buildin'. We'd still be close by. I just think th' sooner we work this out th' better, y'know?"
