There was a small noise at the initial reply, something close to a scoff. A normal life? After everything they'd already gone through? Or rather, after everything he was? He didn't want a normal life to begin with, that was why he'd left everything he knew behind him to go out and seek adventure - granted, this wasn't exactly what he'd had in mind but all things considered it wasn't half bad.
Not yet, anyway.
When Helix finally replied in earnest Aidan couldn't help but relax, a soft sigh leaving his chest and although his heart wrenched some at the shrinking voice he felt relieved. This was good. This was all he needed, and so he turned back with a small smile.
"Why wouldn't I want t' stay with you? You're my best friend."
