[At the first meteor that lit the sky, a feeling Eridan hadn't felt for a very long time entered his mind and tightened his chest. It wasn't a pleasant one, no, the meteor had filled him with the urge to hurry, to run, but there wasn't anywhere else to go. No where to run, no sburb to play to get him onto his planet in the game, this was just a dome miles under the ocean on an alien planet.
To think, meteors used to never upset him at night when he was younger, one would even wish on one if they were lucky enough to see them. Not anymore, now he just wished he could never see one ever again... A frown on his lips, the meteor disappears without any fanfare, but it is only replaced with many more and he remembers how many there had been before the end of his planet. The rush he had felt, not only once he had entered his planet but also the rush he had felt when he realized Feferi had still been on it once he was safe. He had been so anxious for her to live, and then --
All he knew was that he wanted far, far away from the beach where his residence was close to, just because the meteor shower seemed so close to it... Leaving his precious ship hive, just wanting to get away for now even if he could see the damn things everywhere whenever he looked up into the sky...
Where was his moirail when he needed her --
No, him. Right, Cain was his now --
There weren't many who would understand how he felt, but he knew Cain would.
