Statistics is one of those liberal sorts of math. You can manipulate the results all sorts of ways, starting from something as tiny as the wording the questions you're asking. Even the most well-designed statistical model introduces some level of bias. How can it not if a thinking, feeling person was involved in creating it? Still, it's not a bad starting point, especially if your intent is to be as neutral as possible. So! Hit me. What sorts of data were you hoping to collect?
