[Ashura had trained extensively in many arts - from dance and music to sword and of course his control of fire. It was a central part of his culture and his life - and more than that, it was a central part of his weapons when he went to war. Though he was indeed dancing, they were the dances of the battlefield, meant to strengthen muscle, make him flexible and able to react on different terrain with shifts in balance as well as leave him more ways to avoid strikes from opponents. His moves might seem to have less purpose, perhaps, but their purposes were perhaps more subtle.
