oh no! So sorry for missing your tag!
[the soldier—commanding officer, really—glances back towards Road]
So you're on our side, you weird little critter? Heh. [she shrugs] As long as you ain't gettin' in the way.
[she goes back to shouting at her soldiers as they pick off more of the enemy, but suddenly a new wave of white-carapaced troops comes up over the hill towards the group. At the rear, two giant white monsters, bulky figures meters tall with what look like stone towers sprouting from their backs, loom over the soldiers. A few ranks of the black-carapaced soldiers break away and run at the oncoming reinforcements, short swords held high.]
[the officer who spoke to Road is completely ignoring her now, too busy barking orders to the remaining archers and trying to figure out a way to work with these odds. There isn't any fear in her eyes, although the same can't be said for more than a few of those under her command...]
[very quickly, white overwhelms black, and everyone has drawn their swords. If Road was in this for blood, there's plenty flying now; these shelled beings may come in different colors, but they all bleed the same red, and abundantly. Road will have to be careful about getting caught in the battle, though, if she wants to escape injury herself... and one of those hulking Rook-beasts has caught sight of her. Thankfully, it's got enough to deal with at the moment.]
