Seeing as they're mandatory, there's not a lot of free will available! Should they refuse to participate, Sentinel bots will "encourage" them with electric shocks of increasing strength until they either comply or pass out. If they do pass out, the treatment will resume until they begin to participate.
Skipping out on lunch or showering is not a shockable offense.
