Welcome to the MarinaNova HMD! This is optional, but encouraged.

• List your characters for which you'd like feedback. We have a form below if you like forms!

We strongly encourage you to make this a dialogue. Find out what went into actions, decisions, and characterization and you may come to understand it better. Hopefully you'll also be in the best position to clearly communicate your own concerns. Results will be more satisfactory for everyone if one person isn't on the offensive while the other is on the defensive.

Avoid leaving someone a wall of text. This can be intimidating even with the most careful of wording and best of intentions.

Don't gang up on someone. You may have a different way of wording something, but unless you have something new to contribute, consider letting it go if there are already others saying it.

Comments: General feedback is good. Honestly, I've been playing Hei and Dean for so long now, I worry that they're a bit too comfortable/set in their ways. As for Hei, there's no real canon support for how Hei acts in a relationship so knowing I'm handling that believably would be nice. Um... and that's all I can think of at the moment. I tend to play my characters instinctually so any help/thoughts would be appreciated!

It goes without saying that I love all our CR and always want more! But I will take this moment to squee especially about Bak. I really enjoy how his threads with Komui have gone and I feel like it's very true to canon. (Biased yes, but that doesn't mean I'm wrong!) Their dynamics are fascinating to me and I'm looooving them to bits. :D

And I can never NOT take the opportunity to say you Hei is the best and only Hei ever in the history of the universe. /steals him

For plotting: Lacus and Dean + Garcia and Dean. This week. It should happen.

You know, I could put up a closed action post this weekend of Dean knocking on her door with popcorn and movie in hand. We'll go old school. Looney Toon cartoons!

pft, and I'm so glad Bak is still Bak. Playing against a Komui has always been a dream of mine and that we finally get to do that in a game is awesome. Now I just need a Reever and my dream will be complete!

Dean-freakin'-Winchester! Yes, that is all one word. I've played off of him a little, but mostly I just stalk him. And here is where this gets interesting! I would love for Dean and Oz to get some CR going. And eventually for him to find out that Oz is a werewolf. I think it would be a fun little side plot and just generally good CR. He might hate Oz's mellowness but still, goof CR.

Annnnd Hotch. Your Hotch. You did so well with him and what I wouldn't give to see him in game. All the love for bringing him in for 4th Wall. All us CM peeps loved it.

Oh... Why the hell haven't I thought of that. Yes, I approve of this plot! It will also piss Dean off to no end at how zen Oz is. He'll either want nothing to do with Oz or else he'll make it his life's goal to piss him off somehow. We'll have to see how it goes.

pft, and thank-you! He was a little difficult because he just wanted to throw them all into a room and find out what was going on and get them the hell out /)_(\ Small talk was not on his agenda!

I love seeing Dean around, his threads with Rebecca are always fun! I haven't actually interacted with Bak yet, or Hei that much(?) but I like to read their threads when I see them! Bak and Komui are so adorable, how can I not stalk that? Also HOTCH. HOTCH. HOTCH. jakwajfdg i loved that thread so much, between him and socalo. ~~HE NEEDS TO COME TO MARINA~~

	I think we did have Hei CR once upon a time. I really do just need to start throwing him at every post imaginable. One day! I loved seeing Hotch SO MUCH. I loved seeing Clinger too even if I didn't make it up to him with a character. I'm extremely glad you brought them both into the 4th wall!

I also always love playing off your Dean. He and Sam just always feel natural together. We so need to have a TFW post soon. Have we even done that since new Cas? Why is my memory terrible? Anyway! This is a thing that should happen when we can all do that!

Also, I loved what little of it there is of Bak and Anissina. /the slowest with her

We do need a TFW post soon. We never did do one with the new Cas. Not really. There was the morning after with Lacus and Dean and Cas but Sam either snuck out early (that bum!) or slept through the whole awkward thing XD

Heh, but yes. We definitely should! Maybe Salty should get a friend sometime. I don't even know. Something!

Also, yes. I love Bak. He's like, three comments in and half terrified of Anissina without even knowing why. Best random day long CR ever!

i love your deannnn and i stalked your hotch without knowing it was you and he's incredible omg. also i play my characters instinctually toooo. i'm always worried i get too comfortable so i think i understand. mixing it up somehow always helps me! elena is always available for that if you need her. c:

My job is done! I'm still amazed I was able to get this username, to be honest. I thank IJ for being so under the radar all the time. I really do.

and fjkal; thank-you! I felt like Hotch really had a chance to shin a bit with Socalo's thread even if I had no real idea what I was doing. He was definitely a bit more fun to play then I imagined when I threw him in there. All the tragic for Hotch.

And I'll keep that in mind! It may just be that Dean needs to get into trouble somehow and have to deal with being punished by our lovely wardens. Staying on this side of the law is simply no fun at all. Maybe I should have Dean break into someone's apartment as a joke.

I love how cranky Dean can be with Cas, and then I'll turn around and he's got no problem flirting his pants off with Faith (even if she thinks he's lame for never following through and giving her extreme blue balls)! And when I had Kaylee, you were so good at giving him kind of an older brother attitude with her, which I love seeing in Dean, it's one of my favorite aspects of him ♥

As far as him being too comfortable/set in his ways, what do you mean? If he needs shaking up, maybe we can try something smallish out? Whatever you need, don't hesitate to ask. With this Cas being new, I'm sure we can come up with something!

(hey-hey! That wasn't his intent. She was just too hot to handle and he was already sizzling -- uH... where was I going with this?) Heh, and the brother aspect in Dean is actually one of the things I love playing out with Dean the most, to be honest. I'm actually afraid I steer his relationships too often towards the older brother/younger sibling dynamic a bit too much to keep him from getting into a relationship in game on account of the sex rules.

So much hassle to deal with! Although maybe that's something I should pursue. Just a friendly, no hassle relationship where he gets screwed once in a while. Poor boy has been without sex for months now in game!

although to start off small, Haunt suggested a TFW post at some point. We should do something silly and off the wall and everyday typical. Like graffiti up the walls with silly string or something.

I do it with Faith, too. She generally tends to mentor people and blah blah. But I've always steered her away from traditional sluttery anyway because I don't agree with the idea that she is one post-prison, anymore. But I think the older brother relationship works in place of it all.

Is it just the limitations of the prison and how long he's had to deal with them that's being a pain, maybe? I mean, I could feasibly see him snapping a little -- he always did tend to get wound up when feeling powerless and controlled and then kind of...pop. Pun slightly intended?

/nod, and that's pretty much where I'm at with Dean too. S5 Dean is pretty much old enough now that while he likes getting laid, it's not the be all end all that it used to be for him. Funny how the apocalypse kind of puts all the things into perspective again...

And I'm not sure. It might be a bit of the setting but I think I just need to ride it out since there's that secret event coming up soon which might do it just as easily as anything I plot out. Dean knows he needs to get back home but he's losing some of the drive and getting comfortable again so it probably is just Dean needing to get slapped upside the head and angry and remembering what the hell everything is supposed to be for again.

Should be easy enough to do!

I already gushed about your Hotch and Klinger, but I might have to do that a little bit more just to make sure. They both just felt very spot on from the first tag onwards — Klinger especially, but I think that has more to do with him having a very distinct voice than anything else. I'm forever sad that Hotch couldn't stay, the BAU needs their leader gdit! It was wonderful while it lasted though.

As for Dean, I never got to his canon point but I can hear his voice very clearly in the tags. I'm also loving the recent development between him and Aidan — it was pretty surprising when it happened and I have to say that Dean is one of the few in Marina that actually got him to talk about the grittier parts of his past. Props there!

I get what you're saying with older characters getting too comfortable (I had the same issue with Hawk, back in the day) and it's easy to fall into a trap of just going through the motions. I do feel like Dean is still ic in his laid-back ways so although I understand where you're coming from, I don't really think it's a problem? Giving him a shake to get the blood pumping might be a good idea though, and I'd be happy to help with plotting if that's something you'd be interested in!

I'm not going to lie, but if I can handle work picking up again in October with my current load, I may very well bring Hotch in for November. I loved what little bit I played out and while CM is a terrifying show to play from, I'd love to give him a real try! But that said, if you find someone else to enable in the meantme DO IT. I'd love to play off a Hotch as much as I'd love to play one.

And I'd probably app in Klinger instead if that happened. OTL

Ahem, but yes. I'm really amazed that Dean managed to get Aidan to talk so much. It's certainly putting Aidan and Helix in a whole brand new light for him. He just thought that the two of you were rowdy teenagers with too much time on their hands ~~like Dean at that age, but even more so then he thought~~.

And I'm definitely up for plotting! I may see first what Haunt and Eri want to do with TFW things, but this meme has definitely given me some ideas to pursue. I have to admit, I kind of want a game wide silly string event now. Simply because it's so much better then painting the town red. And three times as more difficult to clean up! (Punishment for Dean, yes!)

Also, also. Bren brought up an excellent point. We haven't plotted out that double date with Hei/Saya and Aidan/Helix. We should definitely still do this.

Haha, Haunt kind of sort of enabled me for Hawkeye the other day so if Klinger happens I may have to... follow up on that. CM is a really terrifying thing to play from, but it's so rewarding at the same time and as far as I'm concerned Marina is a great place to explore the dynamics of the characters. If you do get Hotch in, he will be welcomed with so many open arms!

It's really great — he still has so much more dark little secrets hidden away ~~like the fact that he was two inches away from murder~~ so I'd love to see if Dean could pry even more from him without even trying.

Double-date should absolutely happen. I am game for this whenever it works for you guys! /o/

lmao, that is golden and you're not making my decision any easier! Because gosh. klinger was just too much damn fun. I can make up all the crazy stories I want and not care two licks for how far the yarn is stretching!

Mou... And I'll take you up on that challenge! Dean stumbles into the most random CR sometimes and one minute, he's happy go lucky and the next thing I know he's rolling in angst and clamming up again. I think that might have been what I've been missing, actually. Not enough angst in his life. /kicks Dean and runs!

And yes. I'll get with Lena and see what she thinks.

But seriously, you are awesome. You're so much fun to plot with and thread with. I love your Dean to pieces and though he may be an oldbie I don't think his voice has gotten any weaker. I can hear him plain as day in your writing. He's still the same ol'Dean, set in his stubborn ways but making what he can of his situation. I can't tell you how excited I was when Dean and Helix were starting to really hit it off and I'm glad they've grown as close as they have while maintaining a sort of "safe" distance I guess? It feels very IC for me. He does show that he likes helix and cares about the kid but his own way.

I like what I've seen of your Hei of course, or I wouldn't have considered trying to awaken November 11, I'm just sorry I never got a strong enough voice to feel confident in bringing him in a game. We always have museboxes!

I haven't stalked him enough to give much feedback on his relationship though, sorry. Speaking of, there was talk of a double date floating around, I need to poke Lena and see how she's feeling. I know Rica is still up for it if you two are!

That's really comforting to hear actually. For a while there at the beginning of the year his voice was getting pretty stale in my ears, but I do think he's made a bit of a comeback the last few months. It may, honestly, just have been my tiredness talking back at me, now that I'm thinking on it.

Which probably did reflect in my playing, but, eh! pft, and I really have to admit, what started off as an excuse to throw smurfs around in the game really did turn into some of my favorite Dean CR. Thank-you! I can't believe at how far Dean's come along and even if there is distance, I think Dean would trust Helix to not get himself killed in a fight. STart the fight, sure, but not get killed (barely).

And no worries! I just want to thank-you for giving me the opportunity to play off a November even if it is just memes and museboxes. That's honestly just as much fun as playing in a game anyway. We should try it again sometime.

pft, and I completely forgot about the double date thing. I know Lena has a lot of things planned for this week, but maybe we could shoot for having a log next week or after the mystery event thing goes down. Which might be next week now that I'm thinking on it. We should definitely plot some of the basics out though.
