4th WALL: INFORMATION
On day 335 (August 3-9), random individuals who have been or are being investigated by the justice system will begin appearing in the dome!

Guidelines for the event:

1) You can play almost anything! Anyone you can app now (which is most anyone including OCs, AUs, and Previous game memories) and anyone we'd normally reject for being underage, oversized, animals without the ability to speak or characters without form. Do not play real people like yourself or Oprah Winfrey. Someone who is a characterization of themselves like Stephen Colbert from the Colbert Report or Wil Wheaton from The Big Bang Theory is fine.

2) There is no limit on the amount of characters you can bring in.

3) The power level of the characters you bring in will be reduced.

4) These arrivals were premature ICly, so incoming characters will be equipped with a communicator and anything they were carrying at the time except weapons, but it is up to you whether you want them in what they were wearing or the standard orange jumpsuit. You can also choose whether or not they see the standard welcome message. Visitors can appear anywhere in the dome!

5) Please be considerate of the fact that this is a canon event and everyone will remember it afterward. We'd appreciate it if you would not plan anything especially disruptive or massively destructive without consulting castmates and mods. Don't let that scare you though! We may welcome it!

6) Characters apped during this current app round (ending noon EST on Sunday, August 9) will be given the option to retain their 4th wall memories. However, you will still not be allowed to bring in duplicates from the same canon or other characters who would normally not be allowed.

7) 4th wall journals will be invited to join the community and allowed to make their own posts after registering. 4th wall characters may also tag any open posts with or without joining the community. We encourage you to have basic info on your journal profile like your character's name, canon, and timeline if it is not there already as well as a contact post on your journal.

8) There will be a 4th wall tag for people to add to posts during this week, but character tags should only be used by current characters.

9) There are no restrictions or mandates on current characters posting during this week.

Please note that at this time Insane Journal is requiring invite codes. We can get you one if you respond here. We have an abundance! Please don't let this be any kind of deterrent for you!

Contact mods if you have problems during the event.

If you have any questions ask them here. Otherwise, you can use this post for plotting, enabling, and begging for certain characters! This includes those who are not current players!

Sorry if this is a lame or obvious question...

During the 4th wall event, say I really enjoy the character I throw in and decide to app them this cycle. If the app is approved and character accepted, I understand they would retain their memories but once the event is over would they just poof and then re-appear in the prison or just remain as if they never left? Would they also retain the items/attire they arrive in during the event or just revert to the orange jumpsuit/whatever else?

Just curious. Again, Sorry for pestering! o vo;;;

There are no lame questions!

Because of the timing of this 4th wall and app period it is possible for you to choose whether they simply remain or reappear. However, they do need to be "fully processed" by the system, so if you entered 4th wall without a jumpsuit and without having the full message displayed you would need to have your character do that the next day which would mean reappearing and losing anything collected the previous day. So, it's your choice, but one you have to make at the beginning of 4th wall.

Hello, sorry for the delay in the reply, notifs are off on this post. We're not exactly sure what you're asking. We can say that Insane Journal does not have every feature that other journal sites may include (though it does have some perks you're unlikely to find elsewhere too like 100 free icons!). If you can provide screenshots or more explanation we may be in a better position to help you. There's also the site-wide FAQ to search. We hope some part of this helps. When you respond directly to this comment we will be able to see the reply.
