Test Drive Meme!

✿ STEP 1 | Request a invite code if you need one to make a journal.

✿ STEP 2 | Comment with your characters separately. You can leave it blank by inserting <!>

✿ STEP 3 | Someone will tag you.

✿ STEP 4 | Have RNG choose between 1 - 12 for you or be wild and crazy and just choose for yourself. Maybe one person stays normal. Maybe you both choose an option!

1 | AGE UP/DOWN
Maybe they are a little kid. Maybe they're just from a slightly earlier time in their life that makes a big change. OR Your character could be a few days older or a few years. Maybe this comes with a canon update and maybe it's just what could be if they stay in prison.

2 | GHOSTS ABOUND
You start seeing visions of people from home. They could be dead or alive, but they don't interact. You just get glimpses of them before they blink in and out like static. Or maybe it's worse than that. Maybe you're the one who can't touch anything. Good thing you can still interact at least.

3 | SEX SWAP
Your choice whether you want to make this an AU where they have always been this way or whether their memories and perceptions are the same and only their body has changed.

4 | ALTERNATE UNIVERSE
Maybe you have a canon AU to choose. Maybe you just want to see what your character would be like if they had been made a vampire back in the day. They could be from a world that lost the war. There was probably a war at some point, right? You get the idea.

5 | POWER CHANGE
If you had no power, now you have one. Use this if you don't want to choose. If you had a power already you can choose to have it gone or to pick a new one!

6 | MEMORY LOSS
You could lose a week, a year, lose your Marina memories or lose all your memories.

7 | BODY ALTERATIONS
Surprise! You have wings! Or gills. Or a tail. Or cat ears. Or scales. Or horns. See where this is going?

8 | BODY SWAP
You and your tagging partner have exchanged bodies! Hijinks ensue.

9 | LOCATION REARRANGEMENT
You just really want to play with folk and aren't looking for anything too crazy, so the glitch just put you both in the same place unexpectedly. Or maybe it put you somewhere unusual like the beach or hovering in the air...for a second anyway. Hopefully one of you can fly!

10 | MINI-4TH WALL
Welcome to Marina. You just arrived to find you're a prisoner. Mingle with the other criminals.

11 | PARTY TIME
The inmates love their dances and mixers, so it's dime for prom or a masquerade ball or maybe just a good night at the bar.

12 | SECTOR 6 UNLEASHED!
Some criminals are a little wilder than others. Watch out for hyena wasps, raptors, and lobster claws.

[There was a loaded question if ever one existed. Michiru pauses in the middle of putting one of the jackets on a hanger when Haruka asks that]

In the sense that I have to be here, separated from my duty, from my life and until recently the person I cared about most: no, I am not.

In terms of this place not being as bad as one might expect, of being able to meet people I never would have back home: yes, I am happy.

I... don't know if I want it to mean that. It's what we've been for a long time. There still seems to be so much we need to do.

[Then her gaze turns back to Haruka]

We are at least needed to try and get everyone back to where they are supposed to be, those that want to leave. I know there are a few that have no home to return to and they don't want to.

Most of them are. I've heard of some who probably shouldn't go back because of what they've done, but it sounds like the wardens - or whoever created them - make everything a bigger deal than it should. Either that or they don't take into account circumstances. Saving your planet is not a good enough reason for them. Property damage to save someone's life is still property damage and worthy of life imprisonment... and that's all it would take.

There are children here. I think the youngest I've seen was eight. They count crimes you haven't yet committed.

I don't know who could possibly support them.

There are different groups that are doing research. Part of it is waiting for the wardens to slip up and we can see an opening to work with.

That won't happen quickly. I can see why you'd want to watch your reputation....

In any case, I'm in. This place isn't really vacation material, anyway.

No, it won't. It will take time and patience. They know what I've done, but I've been trying to stay under their radar.

[She's at least glad that Haruka is reconsidering acting so quickly. Michiru would have done it herself if she thought there had been an opening to do it]

On the surface yes. Deep down, no it isn't.
