[Action | Open | Evening]
[The past two days had stressful so Michiru decides to do the one thing that always reliably helps her, playing violin. So as evening arrives she heads out of her apartment and down to the parks around the dome to get some inspiration and play her violin for a bit. As she stands and plays, the melody of her violin drift around]

[ooc: Michiru is out practicing for the fun of it. Feel free to encounter her anywhere and watch her play and talk to her. Sorry to the two people have been waiting so patiently for this post]

A fair enough point. [Okay, okay. Subject change:] First time experience, this sudden inmate influx? I hear it's not as uncommon as one would think.

No, this wasn't my first experience. I first arrived as part of the one of the influxes. You have seen a few of them then?

[He shakes his head.] This was my very first time. Am I ever glad our lovely new wardens seem so keen on having it continue to happen.

It does seem like that. It seems to be a flaw in whatever programming since it happened at the last dome too.

So much for our infallible overlords~ [He thinks it's probably intentional on the Engineers' part, if nothing else, but anyway.]

I've thought that. They can bring us here, but they can't keep us here... and that keeps happening.

The technology around here is impressive enough that I can forgive a few bugs-- they can be quite the challenge to work out even in simpler constructs. [Doesn't he know it.] It's the attitude that's grating, if you ask me. But then again, what else is there to expect?

I don't know much about the technology here, but I'd think being able to retain "prisoners" is the job of a prison. Not that I would rather stay here, but its technology is so flawed its not doing even that.

Attitude? You mean like the wardens?

[He just shrugs lightly at the part about flawed technology. He's not sure that part is really an unintentional error, anyway.]

Exactly like the wardens. Superiority complexes are so unbecoming on those who can't back them up.

I haven't talked to them, but I've heard people complaining about the attitudes that they have. Also one of them definitely has a sarcastic attitude.

I only ever said hi to Acumen back in the day, but when it comes to attitude they all seem mostly the same to me. I suppose it's no wonder when you end up the boss of... oh, whatever the exact number of inmates is at this very moment.

I don't know. Acumen seemed more like just a computer with no humor at all. Which one is, Verdical? That one seems more sarcastic and less like a computer. But yes, they seem to be rather full of themselves.

"Full of themselves" was what I was referring to. [Cheerfully. He gets it was an ambiguous way of phrasing it.] Ah, but the AIs are so boring to talk about at length. Besides, I doubt the topic would help anyone unwind.

Hmm... I can't imagine given what they do they would have any kind of excitement in their existence. A shame really.

Isn't it? perhaps someone ought to test that a bit more.

[She chuckles, looking amused]

You mean trying to see if they have something that interests them?

There's a difference between excitement and interest, but sure, if you want to put it like that.

So then you are proposing seeing something actually gets them excited? Like running through a list of things and seeing if we get a reaction.

[info]mightbefun
2012-09-19 11:27 pm UTC (link)
Oh, but it would have to be something big. They're so obviously too used to small little annoyances. [So yes, that's basically what he's proposing. Or he possibly just wants fun things to happen.]

What you propose we ask them about then?

Now who ever said anything about asking? Actions speak louder than words, as they say.

Oh, so you'd just do them and see what the wardens thought?

Well, I guess you're right, that wouldn't be fun. Besides if you tip them off, you might never be able to get to do it.

And we certainly don't want that. Puck's tricks are fun for the whole family, but not if they're thwarted before he can put them into motion.
