[ Two-hundred and ten days.

It didn't take long after arriving before Chuck resorted to stress-baking and as the weeks turned into months, that only escalated, grew into working at the Devil's Compass and then rebranding it as the Daffodil Dive, filling the prison with the gentle smells of freshly baked pie and relentless optimism.

She's not baking now. There's no oven to bake in and even more so, she doesn't feel like she needs it — that was always Ned's go to coping mechanism that she co-opted when he wasn't in her life anymore and the prospect of actually going home... well, that's as fresh of a start as you can get.

Time ticking, Chuck wanders around Sector 0 to say her goodbyes, Gadget scooped up in her arms. She's still not sure if he can come with her home, and the thought that he might not is breaking her heart. ]
