[She's not really sure how to process this morning's announcement and she's still living in a state of shock and disbelief. It's a better feeling than the ice cold realization that an unfathomable end might meet her at any turned corner but it's not all that much easier to sit with. Is this really true? Not another cruel game, after this long?

Rebecca set up a small little tent in Sector 0 that she'd occupied for a few days with Aidan, a nestling of blankets and sleeping bags and the few things she carried with her from both her apartment and the one she shared with Aidan. One such invaluable thing is a photograph of many little redheaded children and their parents, which sits on her pillow as she opens up the front of the tent and slips out to start cooking some sort of breakfast on a small camping kitchenette.

She cooks more than is needed for her and Aidan, clearly happy to share with the other displaced neighbors with food on paper plates. She looks tired, damn right exhausted with red rimmed eyes, but she offers up a weary smile to anyone nearby. This is it, huh?

She's happy. But it also... makes her want to cry.]
