He returns the kiss warmly, pleased by how excited Jack seems to be about all of this. He's always loved his enthusiasm for things and he's missed watching the way he tends to throw himself into a project.

"Hardly. My father worked in a shop." Funny how easy that lie was to tell the first time, and how easy the truth is now. He never loves discussing his family or his father or where he comes from and it was just easier to lie than to talk about it. That hasn't changed and frankly he's rather just leave that part of his past behind. The only difference is that now he doesn't mind Jack knowing he doesn't feel like discussing it.
