Day 421 : Video
I wanted to let everyone know I stepped down from the Defense Force, and I don't think it is going to be continued by anyone at this time. [There's really no reason anyone would have to inform her if they were, but based on the discussions that came out of talking to the other members she didn't think so.] If that changes, or anything similar is created in it's place, I'm sure they'll let you know.

(OOC: If your character was on the Defense Force they already know.)

Thanks for noticing. We weren't cops though, but on the plus side, I won't have to clear that up again after today.

I've been a big part of most of my time here. What can I say? Endings are hard and beginnings are exciting. Makes for some weird emotional balance.

People get burned out, it's only natural. [Healthy to quit while you're ahead, before it all goes to shit.]

[Probably would have been healthier two months ago, but no time like the present!] I think I'll hold back on the throwing. See what things are like when I'm not trying so hard to be busy. Possibly terrible, but it's worth checking out.

Just know that ain't so easy. Ideally the way to go, but from one [addiction] vice to the next, it's easy to hop to something new to fill the hole from what's missing.

I'm saying that as a doc, but also as someone who's been there.

[She nods.] I appreciate that. This is definitely new territory for me. I haven't really had the freedom to just think about what I want in life in...ever? Since I was six? And the irony of finding freedom in prison is not lost on me.

Eh, this isn't really prison. Sure, you can't leave... but it's not that bad.

I got people. [But that's not the point.] But like I said, things might not be so easy to adjust - just wanted to make sure you've got your own people too incase you need 'em. [Since you and Reid split, he doesn't really have tabs on your situation.]

It can't be any worse than when I arrived and I got through that even without people. [She got into a relationship with Tyki though. Maybe her bar for getting through things should be higher. Good thing she has people.] But thanks. I appreciate it.
