[Day 420] Video
[ The truth, absurd as it is, is that Lelouch knows immediately. He knows when he wakes up and she isn't in his room, even though she doesn't always sleep in his room. He knows when he goes out into the kitchen and she doesn't materialize to make demands for breakfast, even though she doesn't always do that either.
He knows, not so very deep down; somewhere between blood and bone. The rational arguments (that it's not possible for him to actually know such a thing, that her absence in the morning isn't so very out of character, and so on) can only keep the knowledge at bay for so long. Eventually it settles on him.
Lelouch sits at the table in their little apartment, an apartment already inherited from someone else he's lost twice, and for a while allows himself the self-indulgent thought: It wasn't supposed to be this way.
She was never supposed to leave him behind. ]
video;

It would appear our gracious 'wardens' have misplaced another of us. If you were acquainted with C.C., [ pronounced See-Two, ] well, someone probably owes you an apology for her general behavior, but you'll know peace now.
[ Two things of note: that he's by no means offering said apology, and that his eyes might be a little glassy. But he blinks them clear, and adds mildly, ]
Since it seems to be the done thing around here.
