Day 419 - video - open
Hey... I have a question.

Is it normal for people to show up from the same universe but different points in time in that universe?

I think it might have just happened.

Yeah. It's how we figured it out.

Though, [He frowned a little.] it's not a huge difference? Like only a few hours, but... there was kind of a major battle in there. Apparently, he was brought here from just before it, but I was brought here from just after it.

I suppose my only advice is to find out how much he wants to know about it, then. [He doesn't feel like sharing all the details of what he's learned about his future with a complete stranger so he tries to keep it brief.] The person I know here ended up being from my future, and there were quite a few unpleasant things in it he didn't tell me our timelines were different at first. I suppose he didn't want to upset me. And I don't know if what he did was right or not, but it did make me wary of this sort of situation. Just be sure you both know how much information you want to share, I suppose.

[Keith looked a little guilty.]

Well, yeah. About that. We kind of already did all that. It just sort of happened. I don't think either of us was really thinking about it at the time.

That's probably for the best, especially if there are no dark secrets to keep hidden.

I don't know that I would consider what happened during that time to contain any dark secrets, but... yeah. It was pretty important information. I'm not sure if it was the best thing to tell him, to be honest.

He would have found out eventually, I think. This place has a way of making sure that sort of thing happens.

Mm.

[Keith considered that for a second and then nodded.]

Then it's probably better that I told him and he didn't just find out randomly from someone else.

I'd say so. And as long as none of the information was too bad I really don't think you have anything to worry about.

I guess that depends on your definition of bad, but yeah. I think I'd rather hear certain things from someone I know, too.
