Day 399 | Open Action
Having found little to interest her in tattoos to cover up her newest scars, Martha had turned to Jack's suggestion at getting them removed. And knowing she had little to no rehabilitation points, she was willing to take whatever the wardens would give her regarding work to earn more.

Which was why she was now rolling a ginormous pumpkin through sector zero to place somewhere. It was also why she was placing hay bales in various places and hanging orange lights. None of the decorations were as impressive as she would have expected from the wardens for a big anniversary bash, but there was definitely plenty.

"Excuse me!" she called over the pumpkin.

He enjoys the recitation, listening intently, obviously appreciating the poetry even if poetry is one of the few things he has never bothered learning about. This appreciation doesn't quite come through in his verbal response which is, as most of his responses are, wry. "That's beautiful, but it's a lot to live up to for anyone else who wants to give you a compliment."

Martha laughed. "Few people are wordsmiths the way he was. He invented words that are now part of our language. But I appreciate all compliments no matter who gives them. And anyway, as romantic as the words were, his hygiene had a lot to answer for."
