Day 399 | Open Action
Having found little to interest her in tattoos to cover up her newest scars, Martha had turned to Jack's suggestion at getting them removed. And knowing she had little to no rehabilitation points, she was willing to take whatever the wardens would give her regarding work to earn more.

Which was why she was now rolling a ginormous pumpkin through sector zero to place somewhere. It was also why she was placing hay bales in various places and hanging orange lights. None of the decorations were as impressive as she would have expected from the wardens for a big anniversary bash, but there was definitely plenty.

"Excuse me!" she called over the pumpkin.

Miranda is carrying a basket herself, large and full of fabrics, ribbons, yarn and other various craft items. She pushes the bolt of fabric out of her line of vision--which was limited to begin with--and easily spots the very large pumpkin rolling closer. She quickly takes a step to the side, but said bolt was unbalanced enough to topple right out of the basket and unroll itself as it spooled out across the street.

Instinctively, she leans, trying to grab the fabric, only this tilts the basket and sends spools of ribbon and thread to the ground and even the lovely pair or wooden knitting needles she'd found. Right into the path of the pumpkin.

"Oh, I'm so sorry, but please look out!" She hopes the pumpkin isn't as heavy as it looks because she really liked those needles.

Oh dear. This is a disaster and a half. Martha tries to steer the pumpkin in a direction where it won't cause any harm. It rolls rather ineffectively over the bolt of fabric and does manage to miss the needles. It takes a moment, but Martha finally gets the pumpkin to stop rolling and leaves it where it stands. She runs back to help the other woman out.

"I'm so sorry! Is everything okay?" she asks, as she kneels down to help roll the bolt of fabric.

Miranda is shaking her head and she sets her basket down and starts picking up all the odds and ends that had tumbled from it. "No, no, this wasn't your fault at all," she repeats. "I-I can be rather clumsy and should have been watching where I was going better."

It's a common thing, her not paying enough attention and then getting into these types of situations. One would think she would learn, but her mind wanders too easily at times. "I hope I didn't damage your pumpkin."

"No, no, the pumpkin is fine, I'm sure. Rather a beast of a gourd really. I'm more worried about your items. And you! I didn't get you did I?"

Martha finished rolling the fabric and placed the bolt near the basket of sundries.

Miranda lets out a relieved sigh. "No, no I'm truly fine. If anything, perhaps the fabric will need some washing, but nothing too troublesome, I would think."

She looks around and finds the needles, picking them up from the ground with a smile. "And it looks like um, nothing was damaged at all. A beast it may be, but a gentle one."

Martha echo's the other woman's sigh. "Then I'm glad. Can I help you take those somewhere?" She's pretty well set to let the pumpkin sit there until either a bot can take care of it or someone else can help her.
