[He slept right through the morning announcement. Despite clearly remembering just the day before, it also feels like much longer than a day has passed. More like twenty years, with all the memories that that much time can contain.]

[At some point Zero makes his way to the kitchen to make the strongest cup of coffee he can. And to seek out painkillers if possible, since his head is killing him. ~~If a house of vampires would even need them around?~~ Feel free to find him amid this.

[Pushing back up from the bed she rises.] Rest then. I'll be back, okay?

[Moving outside the room, she has to genuinely look around the house for something that might help. She isn't really finding coffee... though they have plenty of tea. Maybe that will help? A painkiller though...

At least it shouldn't take too long if she picks some up at the convenience store. She moves quick, able to take advantage of her speed as a vampire. So by the time she is back, tea made, a glass of water in her other hand, while holding a small bottle of pain meds, she finally knocks lightly before entering.]

Zero...? [Has he fallen asleep once more?]

[He's feeling too miserable to even bother being impatient for something, anything that would take the edge off. Despite how she ultimately takes very little time, he's already re-positioned himself in bed.

He can hear her return, for once actually cursing having heightened senses.

He's still just awake enough to respond to her, albeit just a quiet sound. Slowly, then, he manages to sit up enough to be able to take the water, first.]

You two are very close, but I'm sure that isn't a surprise to you. You'd often spend time just brushing her hair.

[Yuuki also already knows that Ai is far more skilled when it comes to academics than she is.

What she doesn't need to know is how much more she struggled with things dealing with Kuran.]

She's pretty attached to me, too, but I'm sure I don't need to tell you that. More so when she was younger.

I think that is a family trait... [Her mother used to play with her hair endlessly. And she can remember Zero tolerantly allowing her to mess with his hair in the past, too. Not to mention Kaname himself.]

Ai's hair is like her father's though. As well as mother. She has curlier hair than I do. Somewhere along the way, mine just wound up flat.

[Although she doesn't dislike her hair or anything.]

Ai is attached to you. I can tell, even with her adult self here. She has a great deal of adoration for you.

It is, isn't it. [He's never really thought about it before.] Both look nice.

Ichiru, Ren, and I all have hair like my father. Mother's was a sandy blonde color. She almost always had it tied back in some way.

[He did copy the ear piercings she had, though.]

I'm glad I was able to help to raise her.

[Although for some time Ai's feelings had been more complicated. He could tell very well enough. Sometimes it was hard to see her go through it all, honestly.]

She would always insist that I was her father, too, even though I would always insist that her real one was encased in ice.

[Ren was still getting used to the whole days thing. It has been four days since his arrival and even with switching his body clock for Kaname's wellbeing he still felt as if he was in a fog early in the morning. When he crawls from bed it is to find his father up and about drinking coffee.

Grabbing a bowl and some cereal, Ren putters about the kitchen to make his own breakfast.]

Father is either up early or late compared to usual.

[He hadn't seen him in the morning for a bit there and he assumed he'd just been missing him by chance. Even with his cereal in front of him, now being drowned in milk, Ren still felt as if he could rest his head on the table for a moment. A thousand years of living nocturnally made it hard for him to switch his time of alertness at the drop of a pin.]

His eyes are actually closed for the moment while he makes more coffee. Just a few more minutes before he can crawl back into bed.]

[Ren watches him, feeling suddenly as if he's gone hundreds of years into his past, when his father was alive and would come crawling into the kitchen after working late. He worked hard to keep human and vampire relations steady - for his and Ai's sakes.]

Coffee is only going to make it worse. Drink some water with medicine and rest.

[Sometimes he can forget he's actually the oldest vampire in their house, besides his Grandfather. Moments like this are when he remembers.]

You can't go work in the stables like that.

[For a moment he hesitates, wanting to move in and support him. He honestly looked ready to take a long nap on the kitchen floor if he wasn't careful.]

The medicine cabinet...

[He turns and moves fluidly towards the bathroom. Rifling through the cabinets, he found it easily enough and made his way back to him.]

I found them.

[Moving again towards more cabinets, he finds a glass and fills it with cool water. Setting the glass and the bottle of medicine in front of his father, Ren can't help but hover still. A vampire that got sick was an anomaly for him, but then nothing about this place was normal.]

[Before anything else, he takes a couple of pills and drinks down the entire glass. At least he's better about not trying to inhale, but then again, those had been blood tablets.]

It should go away soon. I hope.

[The only headaches he's had before were tension and stress related. Vampires aren't entirely exempt from those. He's still wanting to sleep forever, regardless.]
