[The video opens facing a seemingly random direction before turning back to a blond teenager, turning the communicator like he's not sure what to do with it. To the untrained observer, they might think that this kid needs to be in the medical wing: pale to the point of being nearly white, sunken cheeks, and dark shading around the eyes.

However, he didn't seem to have the problem of the orange jumpsuits, currently wearing a white long sleeve shirt with a patch of dark brown fabric at the shoulder.

After a few minutes of examining the device he grumbles to himself, frowning]

I don't have time for this. I have to get back to Paedar. You open one stupid door in an abandoned city and this is what you get.

[He looked around nervously]

I'm sure Qin would know what happened... Of course he's not here when I need him to be.

Action
[Erebos has found himself in front of the eating establishments in Sector 2, moving to stand in front of different ones as he surveyed them. Was he hungry? Not particularly, but as he yet to find a way out of the place he had found himself in. He might as well get a lay of the land and some of the other places seemed... too bright for his taste.

Besides Paedar would want him to eat....

In theory, he might attract less attention in a restaurant.

In practice, he hadn't actually gone inside any of them. He was just staring at them]

[Erebos might notice he's being watched if he looked beyond the reflection of the front window of the Sizzle & Sear, as Piper watched, wondering if he was actually going to move or not. She'd gotten used to seeing weird things, and even more so gotten used to said weird things not necessarily being bad. So, she waited to see what this kid was going to do before reacting herself.

Besides, she had extra preparations to do for the newbie mingle this time around. Her bartender had gone missing after the pleasure vacation.]

[Oddly enough, Erebos hadn't really been expecting to see someone standing in the window looking back at him from one of the restaurants. Clearly he was doing nothing to be inconspicuous so he should have expected someone to be wondering what he was doing.

So now the options: to keep standing there, to turn and walk away, or actually go inside.

Finally deciding for the most sociable of the three options, he headed over to the door. Maybe he could get some answers about this place if hes spoke to someone.

He pushed open the door and entered, looking around at the restaurant]

	Uh, hi. [Well, at least he had made a decision.] We're not set up for the welcome reception, yet, tonight, but you're welcome to settle in for some food. [He gets bored very easily with food... well, except for one thing]

[As she heads back towards the bar, he looks down at the menu finally, trying to see if there is anything he recognizes there. Actually its not too far off from what he knows, but he can't help but wonder whether she'd appreciate him putting mustard on some it or not. He'd learned some people didn't like that he did that almost immediately]

[She perused just about everything they had, giving a few sniffs, some small tastes, and finally decided on something different. She'd been experimenting with fruit syrups called shrubs, and wondered what one might taste mixed with something alcoholic. She went for a tart raspberry/strawberry mix with the syrup, then mixed it with a silver tequila to make something almost like a margarita. She added a dash of pure lime juice for a slight kick, and rubbed the edge of the glass with a lime slice, leaving the slice hooked on the edge for garnish. A quick straw test left her satisfied, and she came back to his table.]

Okay, try this. It's a balance of sweet and tart with a citrus twist.

[Erebos sat patiently waiting as he periodically scanned the menu before glancing up at her to see what she was doing. He eyed the drink that she brought over, intrigued by the color of it. After a moment, he picked it up and took a sip. The combination of sweet and tart at the same time was not something he was expecting even though she had said it and while it wasn't "strong" in his opinion, it wasn't boring either]

	I'm Piper. [She probably should have said that when he came in.] And thanks. The base of that is something new I've been working on called a 'scrub'. It's a fruit base.
