[Welcome newbies and today-only newbies alike, while you're getting accustomed to the sights and sounds here's a few more. Rebecca opens a channel on the communicator with a bright sunny view of herself on the beach, water in the background and bright blue eyes focused on the lens. While she talks she'll swing the view around, letting snippets of the set up of a volleyball net be seen as well as a few tables worth of baked goods (thank you Chuck) and a sexy redhead boyfriend working grill.]

Hey guys. If you're looking for something to do or want some free food, come by the beach in sector one. My name's Rebecca to make introductions short and we're having a fun get together that's open ended, mostly so I can work on my tan. [She winks. There's more to it than that but she can elaborate later to the people honestly interested. And with a hopeful bite of her lip:] If you remember me from any time before, let's catch up too? We've got some drinks and when it starts to get dark I'm going to try and dig a fire pit. No wardens are around to tell me not to light things on fire so that's exactly what I'm going to do.

[OOC: Rebecca's network replies will have their own thread down below, and you're totally invited to make whatever you'd like of the post in your own comments as well. It's something of a beach party/ mingle with food (pies and the like, courtesy of Chuck), drinks, beach sports and tanning and Becca digging a fire pit later on for people interested. The beach has barbeques (also one manned by Aidan), huts and cabanas and a few harmless fish in the water as well.]

[She's seen an overwhelming amount of strange things already today, but Reinette still can't help stopping and staring (albeit in a fairly discreet and ladylike way) when she comes across the girl with the incredibly pink hair and the extremely revealing outfit.

Apparently her staring wasn't discreet enough, for her gaze crosses the pink-haired girl's and she realises she's been caught. She lowers her gaze demurely for a moment before offering an apologetic smile.] Forgive me. I have never seen anyone with hair like yours before!

You're not the first one to say so, but it always surprises me a little. It's not a common shade at home, but it's not so rare either. Do you have hair colors like violet, green, and blue? I've been told those are surprising too.
