[Haruka’s used to Juri running off - she never has enjoyed the surveillance that he feels is necessary. It makes for a fun game of tag, but as of right now, he’s filled with more fear than he is excitement. There’s too much about this that doesn’t settle with him, and being unable to search the dome with his speed or familiars leaves him quite the unhappy ~~puppy~~ husband.

His gaze is calm, though, if a little distant. He’d really rather not do this, but…]

There’s no need to explain where I am or why I’m here. I listened to it already.

[The pureblood’s words are, at least, polite, if a little more curt than usual.]

I’m looking for my wife. We were together, so she might be here somewhere. [And he can’t find heeeer!] If you’ve seen a very cute, angry woman demanding to see the wardens of this place, please tell me. I don’t want her to worry.

[Patient, fond little smile.]

And, if you haven’t seen her, then… [A pause, in which that smile fades entirely and the concern in his gaze doesn’t compare to the worry he actually feels. Virtual or not... he is a very protective father.] … could you tell me if there are children brought here, too?

[Haruka sighs deeply, mind wandering to all the possibilities. It’s impossible to feel relaxed, no matter what he’s told. His family needs him, the things he has tried desperately to protect them from with all of his strength a very real threat now. Who is friend, who can be trusted among the number of supposed criminals wandering this dome.

If they aren’t here, he’s okay with that. Juri and Kaname will be all right. Yuuki will be fine, too, with her mother and brother with her. It’s the worry that they might be here that keeps his feet moving, long after unusual fatigue has set in. Being without even his basic speed and endurance is such a hindrance…

The lonely pureblood puppy wanders through sector 4 (Yuuki would love the ice cream shop!), content in the orange jumpsuit until he finds out, one way or another, if his family is safe.

Looking among those walking by, he frowns, unused to actually wanting to get attention, unsure of who is appropriate to approach. It’s hard to tell who is a good source of information. Well, he has to start somewhere!]

Do you mind if we talk for a few moments?

[His aura is gentle and expression soft. He doesn’t want to eat anyone, he swears! He’s just lonely and struggling to cope with this.]

	[Ai knows that her grandmother hadn't been here before today and while there is the possibility that she could have shown up, as of yet Ai hasn't had any contact whatsoever with her.] I've been patrolling since the first new arrival today in case someone found themself in trouble but haven't seen her anywhere. [For him, there is only one super cute woman, so it's easy.

His tone shifts, less disappointed, less crushed by the lack of Juri in his life right now, to something firm, eyes seeking answers from the woman here.]

And 'Ojiisan'. You don't seem like a rude girl, to use a nickname like that.

[She's sorry, it is rough coming here. For her neither one of her parents knew who she was - though Zero isn't related by blood it was upsetting.

I know what she looks like. From mother's memories.

[Are her and Yuuki at least cute? Will he think that of them?

As for answers, she's willing to give them. If bowing were possible with the devices Ai would be doing it now.]

My name is Ai Kuran. Kaname and Yuuki are my parents. I know it must be strange to you, to hear this but I am your granddaughter. It's nice to meet you.

[A granddaughter... Haruka's always believed Kaname and Yuuki would be together, as their parents were. It's not that part that's surprising. It's the rest, because Kaname and Yuuki are still children for him, so small, at the whims of others if he doesn't protect them.

That's just not possible, but she's not the first one to speak of a discrepancy in time, about memories he doesn't actually have. Is it true, then? Can it really be possible?]

Ai, you said?

[It doesn't make sense, but nothing about being here does. He doesn't care for the confusion or the wonder that keeps striking every time he turns around.]

Your mother gave you your name, didn't she? [He smiles, unsure and frustrated, as an attempt to hide it. If he keeps denying everything, he'll never get the answers he really needs.]

[Things are... complicated involving her parents and nothing Ai wants to put on him the first day. Already there is so much he has to take in with the people who are here - she doesn't need to add to it by speaking of one of the Kuran's who are abset. Though Ai would listen to him talk about Juri whenever. She would love to hear about her grandparents, even if she's sure most of the stories will be almost entirely about her grandmother.

For now he has other things to worry about. A daughter who's grown and has a daughter of her own, a missing wife. These are huge things he must take in.]

That's right, she did.

That sounds very much like your mother.

[And Kaname would go with whatever Yuuki suggested, ever indulgent of his dear Yuuki. Those young ones...

And this girl, even older than his children, claiming to be his granddaughter. Knowing Juri through the memories of their daughter. The levity fades quickly, however, and he sits in silence for a moment.]

Where can I find Kaname?

It is very much like mother.

[Though her father had no real choice in the matter he would have gone along with it. While he did indulge his mother, father also did things she didn't approve of but this was no likely to be one of them.

She doesn't expect him to believe all of this right away, not when he can't know anything for sure and he was used to having enemies - enemies who also had the name Kuran. Of course he would ask that question.]

He isn't here. It's just mother and I from our family, along with the Kiryuu twins before you arrived.

He's not sure if he's relieved to hear Kaname might not be here. It's easier for them to be in one place, but he doesn't want them trapped here, either.]

The restrictions placed on me will come off tomorrow, is that right?

[He hopes that it isn't a lie. At the moment, he feels utterly alone, in a den of people he doesn't know if are truly good and helpful, or are snakes in the grass.]
