Day 378 | Open Action
[Action; Sector 4; outside the new flower shop]

[Between forced sleep and a grueling heatwave, Yuuki's managed to keep herself plenty busy despite whatever shenanigans are tossed around the domed prison. From gardening, to gathering supplies and lots of set up she's barely remained still in one place for more than a few minutes. Anyone who frequents sector four may have seen her around much more often, in conjunction with a new shop that has come together rather nicely over the course of the last few days. It settles in nicely among the businesses and brick buildings. Beautiful flowers and plants decorate the entrance, with an elegant yet simple sign overhead that reads 'Nine White Orchids'.

The sign that would indicate that they're open is flipped around to indicate that it isn't yet. But the door is propped wide open with a wedge which proves that someone is inside. A soft, feminine voice can be heard humming inside, lyrics heard intermittently. The sweet, dulcet tones reach outside the shop, intertwining invisibly around anyone within hearing distance. Be careful not to listen too closely, or it's possible to find oneself inside the shop without really thinking about it.

But then maybe you're the type who would have peeked inside anyhow?

Otherwise, the girl humming to herself might set foot outside on her own, a pot of flowers in hand, should one remain unaffected or linger outside the door.]

Yuuri-kun, can I talk to you if you have a moment?

(OOC: Her singing voice can have an enchanting affect on people (Particularly vampires if relevant or desired). Feel free to use that if you like. Otherwise feel free to resist or remain unaffected! She's not intentionally doing anything. Her desire to do well and be able to draw people into the shop is simply leaking out. Here's a Permissions Post for anyone who might find it useful.)

I'll bring up our move to Yuuri today.

[ . . . He's going to be sad, so she hasn't been looking forward to it.] I think the move will be a good one, overall. And I do like the apartments over there a little better. It reminds me of home.

[She does hope Ai feels the same way.]

But I... wanted to know how you would feel... if I invited someone to live with us. [ . . . ] If I invited Zero to live with us.

You can always visit him or he can visit us.

[It isn't as if they're moving far away from him.] Having our own apartment will be nice. [Not that she didn't like it at Yuuri's.] Home is bigger but it is similar.

[She does agree. Other than the size, it's much more familiar and could be rather cozy. They might start thinking of it as 'home'.

Ai is silent as her mother attempts to get the sentence out. And then again as she says a name. She almost says no but that's no good. Zero is someone she cares about (maybe a little too much) but she also wants the pair of them to be happy - happy with each other. Now is definitely not the time to be thinking about that little sister she wants either.] If that's what you want, it's fine with me.

[It isn't as if Zero wasn't a prominent part of her life growing up. He was always around and honestly it's actually been a little weird not having him come over whenever he wanted. Weird but also good for Ai at the same time.]

What about Uncle Ichiru?

I know. I just feel bad. [She knows he'll be a bit put out.] Yuuri-kun is a dear dear friend. So I don't want to hurt him.

[She's relieved to hear her say it's all right, though. Even for Yuuki she finds it a little difficult. Not because she doesn't care about Zero... but because she cares too much. That's where all of the danger lies. But this-- it would hardly be the first time they have lived together. At least... when it comes to both Yuuki and Zero.]

Ichiru-kun... [Er.... ] I don't think it would be a good idea. [She frowns.... she doesn't want to tell her that she doesn't trust him at all, and especially with her and Zero. His history... isn't that great when it comes to family relations.]

He wont live with Zero at the moment, and he's not very fond of me... [To say the least.] For the time being, I think a living situation with the four of us would wind up a little tricky..

[A tilt of her head. She doesn't know Yuuri as well as her mother does but...] He might be a little sad that we're further away but happy for us, I think.

[Yuuri seemed like that sort of person. After all, it wasn't as if they'd never see each other again. This was just a small move.

Ai knows all about the time her mother lived with Zero. Stories have been told to her by a lot of various people - even grandpa.]

I know that. What if Uncle Ichiru wants to visit papa? He doesn't like you and he doesn't seem to like me much either. [For being Yuuki's daughter.] Will we have to leave the apartment for a little while to make him feel less uncomfortable?

I don't think that would be necessary.

[It's their home and she doesn't think they should be chased out of it for such a reason.]

He's welcome to visit. But- I do think if he plans to he should expect all of us. Otherwise, it's a simple matter for Zero to visit him instead. [Sigh-- Ichiru always makes things complicated.]

. . . Ideally I really would like for all of us to get along with him. I'm sure he's struggling with his own things.

	Good. Whether he likes it or not, he's family. [Even if he's an ass, Ai would like to get to know him while she can and not just through the stories told to her by others.] We should invite him to all holiday celebrations even if he doesn't come. [Because she considers Zero family. . . because she calls him papa. Her head is still trying to wrap around that, too. Although her next words draw a smile.]

Breaking through to Ichiru-kun through persistence, huh? [It sounds like fun. She lifts a finger up.] He'll be really resistant to things, but I agree! We should keep trying.And make sure not to let him bully you, Ai-chan!

[Well, Ai has a father and a papa. Her father is asleep in ice and papa was the one who was awake and could teach her things. Zero tried to get her to stop but she's stubborn - even at the age of four.]

People don't always get to choose their family. [Ai might choose Ichiru but he might not choose her.] He can try to bully me but I don't bend that easily!

[She points at Yuuki.] You can't let him bully you either, mother!

[It's kind of funny, the difference in reactions she gets from her mother. Twenty years from now she definitely would not get this reaction.

Maybe that comes from experience. Ai has always asked these kinds of questions rather bluntly, even as a toddler. She can remember the reaction she got out of Aidou when asking about love.]

That is one thing that is probably best if I don't answer it. [Wouldn't want to influence her mother's relationship with Zero now by telling her about the future. Ai's expression gives away nothing either, a gift she got from her father.]

He's there often enough that he might as well live with us. Though you're spending at the school more than you have been in years past.

[What with Ai being in school and all.]

[She is going to wonder about it all night now. And that expression... the one that gives nothing away is both frustrating and familiar, and she feels somehow envious over it at the same time.]

At... the very least that isn't my intention with Zero moving in. [She tries to calm down] We were raised together as kids and lived together for almost five years before I left with Oniisama. [Ah... her father, that is.] I don't... like to see Zero alone. [Even though he's fully capable of living on his own.] In a strange place like this I'd feel a lot better keeping the people I care most about close. It was important to me to ask you too, though.

[Glancing up she smiles apologetically] I know that none of this can be the easiest on you, Ai. I'm really sorry. [She probably hurts a lot by the fact that she's so far into the future.]

But... you're attending school. Cross Academy, right? The chairman must love you. [He seems like the type who would be a doting grandfather.] You should attend some of the classes here. It's important to get an education! Even I'm thinking about taking a few once again.

[That she is not sorry about - giving her mother something to wonder over. She is well aware that her mother loves both father and papa. If father were to appear, things would become extremely complicated but they can't waste what's currently right in front of him.]

I was only teasing, mother. [A little bit anyway.] Papa is capable of taking care of himself but we should still keep him close just in case. [Zero is the most mature out of the three of them.] Besides, it'll be nice having him live with us.

[Ai reaches out to hold Yuuki's hand.] It's fine. I'm fine. [It might be hard having her parents not know her but none of them can help that.] There are plenty of ways to get to know each other.

Yes, I'm attending grandpa's school as part of the Night Class. Grandpa spoils me... or so others say. [To Ai, that's just what he does. But he isn't the only one who spoils her so...] I've already signed up for several classes here.

[The understanding truly touches her. Even despite how difficult it is, Yuuki isn't oblivious to the fact that she's trying to be considerate of her. She's been gentle, and for the most part considerate with her words, even if blunt.]

Just tell me if there's something important, or I mess up hugely... [She's good at doing that- messing up over and over again. And unless told, it always continues.]

The chairman always spoiled me too. [A small smile. He had always been very doting toward her.]

B-But I hadn't realized you had signed up for classes already. [ . . . Yuuki hasn't even done so yet.] Aha... how weird will it be that we might be in some of the same ones together? [Ah- but...] Since I'm older, I'll be able to help you with you homework! [No she wont]

[Ai is completely aware that none of this is anything they could have controlled. The wardens are the ones who pulled them from a time when her parents wouldn't know her. But there are ways to get to know her, especially considering what they are.]

I don't think you'll mess up hugely. [Already Yuuki has stepped up more than some mothers would. She's taken her in, now they're getting their own place and Yuuki is talking about continuing school (though it is a little late).]

He likes spoiling us. [Even Ai can see that, which is why she lets him.]

Aidou-senpai would be disappointed if I hadn't. [He had always been responsible for her schooling growing up, though she did sometimes go to Zero when she had questions.] Will it be weirder than what we've already gone through here?

[That she isn't sure about. Yuuki has always looked the same to her but it is different having her mother in her class.] No offense, mother, but you haven't been able to help me with my homework in the last couple of years.

[Ai does say that as gently as possible. Her mother may have finished school but that doesn't mean she could help Ai with her schoolwork.]

Please don't mind the dramatics. But she had really hoped she would have grown into things more. Or been able to help her in such a simple manner.]

[Yuuki has a lot of obligations - raising a child, being one of the few remaining purebloods, and all sorts of other things that involve the vampire society. School was one of those things but it may not have had a bigger priority than other duties. If it's any consolation, she's an excellent mother.

Ai pats her mother's shoulder.]

You had a lot to deal with. After all, you were a young mother with important duties. And you are a very good mother.
