Day 378 | Open Action
[Action; Sector 4; outside the new flower shop]

[Between forced sleep and a grueling heatwave, Yuuki's managed to keep herself plenty busy despite whatever shenanigans are tossed around the domed prison. From gardening, to gathering supplies and lots of set up she's barely remained still in one place for more than a few minutes. Anyone who frequents sector four may have seen her around much more often, in conjunction with a new shop that has come together rather nicely over the course of the last few days. It settles in nicely among the businesses and brick buildings. Beautiful flowers and plants decorate the entrance, with an elegant yet simple sign overhead that reads 'Nine White Orchids'.

The sign that would indicate that they're open is flipped around to indicate that it isn't yet. But the door is propped wide open with a wedge which proves that someone is inside. A soft, feminine voice can be heard humming inside, lyrics heard intermittently. The sweet, dulcet tones reach outside the shop, intertwining invisibly around anyone within hearing distance. Be careful not to listen too closely, or it's possible to find oneself inside the shop without really thinking about it.

But then maybe you're the type who would have peeked inside anyhow?

Otherwise, the girl humming to herself might set foot outside on her own, a pot of flowers in hand, should one remain unaffected or linger outside the door.]

[Private to Yuuri Shibuya]

Yuuri-kun, can I talk to you if you have a moment?

(OOC: Her singing voice can have an enchanting affect on people (Particularly vampires if relevant or desired). Feel free to use that if you like. Otherwise feel free to resist or remain unaffected! She's not intentionally doing anything. Her desire to do well and be able to draw people into the shop is simply leaking out. Here's a Permissions Post for anyone who might find it useful.)

[Carrying a vase of flowers she pauses when she spots someone else.]

Can I-- [Oh, She recognizes her.] Kaya-san, hello.

[She's still slowly snapping out of it, but she still blinks and seems surprised.]

H-hi, miss Yuuki. [She looks at the vase, trying to hide her confusion.] That's really pretty!

Thanks! [Looking over it herself, Yuuki adjusts a couple of the flowers before glancing at her.] Do you think it looks okay as is? I'm just getting used to this flower arranging stuff.

It looks pretty to me. Is there even stuff to learn about that? I thought you just picked the flowers you could find and put them in a cute way.

Flowers can hold different meanings. There's even an entire language of flowers.

[She's still trying to learn more on that herself]

Plus people can be picky on the color composition and design. If you put them all together nicely, it's a work of art. It can bring nature and humanity together in harmony, right?

They do? A language? [She's confused but her tone is curious. And she guesses that kind of people would hate her flower crowns and bouquets.]

That sounds so complicated! I guess not even flowers can be plainly pretty.

[She looks around now that the effect is mostly worn out.]

Ah, is this a herbalist shop?

Well- [She lifts a hand up as though to whisper] I think they can look plenty pretty on their own, but this kind of thing can be fun, too.

[Smiling while she looks around, she shakes her head.] It's not. It's just for flowers, whether for people to keep for themselves or else to give as a gift. But- [There's a small lift of her shoulders] Someone else asked if I could keep and grow some special herbs. I was originally intending to do some for personal use, but I can open it up to others, too.

But if the other person doesn't know the language, the meaning could be lost? Maybe?

That's a really cute idea! A shop full of flowers! Herbs are more important, but there are already stores for it and flower merchants sound like a great idea to me. Especially if the flowers are this beautiful.

Mm... I was surprised, but a lot of people use herbs, huh... [She had never thought much of them until coming here.]

I'm glad you like it, though. I'm hoping that I'll be able to draw in a little help. I'm still just beginner, really. I know we don't get paid here, but working can be rewarding in and of itself sometimes too, right?

Oh, do you use those strange rounded medicines where you come from, too? [Yup, she means pills.-]

Ah! I want to learn how to do those things with plants but I barely learned what a flowerpot is. That sounds like a dream job!

Pills...?

[She takes tablets, but they're...just a dietary supplement.]

If you like flowers and plants though, why don't you work here? I'm still just learning myself, and I could use the help. I'd be happy to have another girl around my own age, too.

Yeah, those!

[The offer surprises her.]

Are you sure I can...? I'm extremely new at everything and I can be a bit clumsy.

That's okay.

[She doesn't appear worried at all.]

I'm new to it all as well, and can be clumsy at times, too. It'll be a learning experience for us both.

That's great! I'd really like that, Kaya-san! I'm sure that with your help, we'll be able to make this store a success.

That's okay. I read a bunch of books. [Basically lots of reading up on things in the hope that it will help.]

I hired a butler, too! He knows all about flowers and things. [At least considering how he keeps rearranging things and and helping set up she assumes so.]

Hmm? A butler is... [She thinks for a moment] A butler is the same as a man-servant, in the end. They take care of tasks like cleaning up, seeing that the table is set and food is on time, receive guests and the like. They oversee the cleanliness of a house and make things easier for the person they work for in the end.

Nope! But it doesn't hurt to have a person who's experienced in a number of different areas and aesthetics, right?

[At least that's how she feels.]

I'm sure he's used to having to arrange things together nicely for his employer.

Is that so... Oh, I know what aesthetic means! It's stuff you find beautiful! That makes sense for a place about flowers. [Guess where she heard the word. Or more like from whom.]
