day 375 | action
a) Sector 4

[Bonnie had to admit, prison wasn't where she expected to end up, much less an underwater one. Breaking out doesn't seem to be an option - not an obvious one - so she decides to take that map with her and explore a little.

Clothing's a first, so she heads to The Row and stares longingly at an oversized sweater that is hung up far higher than she can reach. A normal person would've called a bot over, but Bonnie? Nah, Bonnie stretches out her hands and murmurs,]
Motus.

[Doesn't even budge an itch. So she tries again,] Come on, Motus.

[Looks like she'll have to settle for something that's well, actually in her reach. Once that's taken care of, she heads off in search of adventure. Quatro Park, the Art Center, and honestly - anywhere in the dome, she'll be around.]

b) the Blood Shack

[However, she can't resist dropping by the Blood Shack, given the name. If vampires are around, then maybe they've heard of her friends from back home. So once she's gotten dressed, she heads inside and takes a long, sweeping look around.

The stench of bourbon is painfully, painfully familiar, and she'll gulp down her hopes as she sits at the bar. There's no way Damon would be here - why would he? - but it feels too much like him for comfort.]

Mmn not all the time, but they come around every so often. It's not too bad. Could be a lot worse.

For a certain definition of it, I guess. So um, when it's not as crazy, what do you do around here?

Oh, anything — there's lots of things to do. There's a movie theatre, a library, ice rink... the beach, of course. You can take classes at the school or if you're good at something, you can go into teaching. I run a little bar in Sector 4 – the Daffodil Dive - and I know a few others that started businesses.

Sometimes we throw parties. It may be quiet around here from time to time, but we try our best to fill the time.

Wow. This might as well be its own city, it sounds like.

Maybe I'll drop by your bar later. I'm legal now and everything, so... [She grins, shrugging a little. Bonnie might have been one of those underage drinkers for way, way too long.] Why not, right?

Oh yeah, because underage drinking is something we care about here in prison. [She snorts. ] You're more than welcome to. I serve food too, mostly pies, so if you have a favorite let me know and I'll add it to the specials.

To be fair, Mystic Falls didn't care much either. [Seriously, it was a town with six thousand people. There wasn't much else to do.]

Aw, no! I'm sure I'll love whatever you make.

Of course you will, but this is what I do! It's no trouble, really - it just means I have one more thing to fill my days with.

Well, in that case... I've always had a soft spot for apple pie, but I figure that's pretty common.

[There are lesser-known favorites too, like peach cobblers and blueberry tarts, but she feels like she's asking too much as it is.]

[ She nods. Alright. ] I usually have some apple pie in rotation... or pear and gruyere. If you think of anything else, let me know.

[ She tried — unsuccessfully — to make a durian pie not long ago. Give her a challenge! ]

[Hesitantly,] Peach cobbler?

I can help you make it too. My Grams taught me how, and it's one of the few things I've memorized by heart.

Peach cobbler would be good — I make a pie with peach and brandy from time to time, but new recipes are always welcome.

Especially if you want to share your grandmothers recipe. That makes it even more special.
