day 375 | action
a) Sector 4

[Bonnie had to admit, prison wasn't where she expected to end up, much less an underwater one. Breaking out doesn't seem to be an option - not an obvious one - so she decides to take that map with her and explore a little.

Clothing's a first, so she heads to The Row and stares longingly at an oversized sweater that is hung up far higher than she can reach. A normal person would've called a bot over, but Bonnie? Nah, Bonnie stretches out her hands and murmurs,]
Motus.

[Doesn't even budge an itch. So she tries again,] Come on, Motus.

[Looks like she'll have to settle for something that's well, actually in her reach. Once that's taken care of, she heads off in search of adventure. Quatro Park, the Art Center, and honestly - anywhere in the dome, she'll be around.]

b) the Blood Shack

[However, she can't resist dropping by the Blood Shack, given the name. If vampires are around, then maybe they've heard of her friends from back home. So once she's gotten dressed, she heads inside and takes a long, sweeping look around.

The stench of bourbon is painfully, painfully familiar, and she'll gulp down her hopes as she sits at the bar. There's no way Damon would be here - why would he? - but it feels too much like him for comfort.]

Oh, thank you.

[She blinks back surprise as she watches him reach for that way too easily. Dangit, why is every guy in her life significantly taller than she is?] That obvious?

[Insert Victorian England-esque sexist answer about how men are taller and stronger than women in general specifically so that they can help out a lady in need.]

You are quite welcome. This, [he says as he holds out the sweater to her with a smile] is the piece of clothing that best matches your complexion, out of all the ones in the close vicinity.

[No, he's not flirting: he adds, simply--] It's an obvious choice.

[It's not so much that she was obvious about reaching for that one specifically, as Sebastian naturally assuming people have a sense of what suits them.]

i'm so so sorry about the late ;;

Huh. [She accepts the sweater, looking at Sebastian with new eyes. No guy's ever paid attention to her wardrobe before, much less with that kind of instinct.] I was thinking more about it being out of my reach, but now that you mention it...

It does kinda suit me the most.

it's okay!

[Meanwhile, Sebastian is pleased to have his excellent eye for colour and style acknowledged. The household's tailor keeps saying he's dull and old-fashioned but HAH.]

You have a good eye, ma'am. That's certainly an advantage in a place like this, with such a myriad of differing styles.

I'd say you have the good eye, sir. [She grins at him.] Were you into fashion back home?

Sebastian Michaelis. [He's just a servant; "sir" doesn't seem right.] It's a pleasure, ma'am.

But no, I cannot say that I was. My position at home demands a certain adherence to tradition, which fashion is of course rather at odds with. [The way he's dressed speaks of it: all black, grey and white, proper tie and vest and traditional butler uniform jacket.]

I do like to think I have an understanding of what colours complement each other all the same, however.

I see. [Bonnie tilts her head, as if finally noticing that. For all she knew, he preferred dressing for success all day every day.]

From what I can tell, it's a pretty good understanding. I'm still learning a lot myself - my best friend was the real fashionista, honestly.

Ah- and so she had been teaching you, perhaps?

Kind of. With Caroline, it's more learning by experience - I can't walk out of our dorm without her commenting on what wear.

[He laughs at that, softly.]

Well. It is said one's company reflects one's own self, no? For better or worse. [No wonder miss Caroline would want her to look stylish if they're to be seen together in public.]

It sounds a pleasant enough bonding experience, if I may say so.

True, but she's always been like that. Since... kindergarten, I think?

[Huh. Now that she's thinking about it, she's missing her best friend more than she wants to let on.]

Sometimes I think I'm too used to it to say anything.

Such is the way of familiar comforts, no?

[She doesn't seem to mind it too much, he means. Rather the opposite.]
