not the earth that she came from, the job and post she's effectively abandoned, but home. her real home. the world that was lost. the one she can't go back to.

she dreams of a krypton that's still intact; of long talks with her aunt astra while waiting for her mother to come home from a long sentencing, and especially of running through the long, winding halls of her home, hand-in-hand with a boy of about ten or twelve, laughing all the while.

the boy lets go and darts past her, rushing ahead. ]

	[ that's it! that's probably it. ] I've learned about so many different planets in my lessons... I haven't been to all of them. Must be one of the ones that's far beyond Krypton's present reaches. 	That would make sense. [Interstellar travel is something he's heard of, but in no way is possible where he's from. Although space travel in general isn't common in the first place. Maybe it had been back before civilization had fallen once before, but that was thousands of years ago.] The idea of being able to visit different planets sounds incredible, though.
